As in Burkina Faso, also in Bamako (Mali), a field training for baseline household survey was carried out as part of WP2 of the project (Training and Capacity Building).

This survey helped to evaluate the IPTp-SP coverage in the districts involved in the implementation trial.

The training, organized by IRD, CNRST, USTTB and LSTM, was conducted in Mali from 2nd to 5th June and 25 trainees took part in the initiative.

The main points on which the preparation focused were:

• Ethical principles and Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
• Covid-19 preventive measures
• Procedures and tools necessary for the implementation trial (inform consent form, questionnaires, interview guides, monitoring adverse events)

Also a pre-test was administered to trainees.
