The ASTMH Annual Meeting is the premier international forum for the exchange of scientific and clinical advances in tropical medicine, hygiene and global health. The event draws thousands of professionals and experts from these fields to discuss the most hot-button scientific global issues over five days.

The ASTMH Conference took place in New Orleans, Louisiana, from 13th to 17th November 2024 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Part of the INTEGRATION team joined the event, including the project coordinator professor Kassoum Kayentao, professor Halidou Tinto, Dr. Valérie Briand, and the INTEGRATION PhD students Dr. Joel D. Bognini and Dr. Kadiatou Koita.

On 16th November Dr. Joel D. Bognini presented his abstract on “Impact of an integrated community intervention on antenatal care and pregnancy and birth outcomes in rural Mali and Burkina Faso: the INTEGRATION cluster randomized trial.”

Dr. Kadiatou Koita attended a poster session, presenting a poster titled: “Effectiveness of community-based approaches to improving ANC and IPTp-SP uptake in Sub-Saharan Africa: A systematic review, meta-analysis, meta-ethnography, and economic assessment”.
